White Peak Wire Works - Coastal Smoke English Single Malt Whisky

The Wire Works Coastal Smoke release is the result of a dual maturation of the distillery’s lightly peated spirit, distilled using two sets of cut points to enhance complexity. Initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill and finished in Islay whisky barrels, this expression adds a new dimension to the distillery’s lightly peated style.

The use of mainland peat in malting the barley contributes to the character of the distillate, while the Islay peated whisky that previously seasoned the finishing barrels imparts additional depth, creating distinct layers of flavour in the final whisky.
