The Wire Works Bourbon Barrel release has been crafted from a selection of the distillery’s oldest first-fill American oak bourbon barrels. Each barrel was filled with the distillery’s signature lightly peated spirit, which has matured beautifully over the years, perfectly expressing the fruit-forward character for which the distillery is known.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with sunlit honey tones and a warm coppery sheen.
Nose
A lush bouquet of vanilla cheesecake and white chocolate wafts alongside fruit salad sweets, lemon curd, pear drops, candied ginger, macadamia nuts, lavender and peaches and cream.
Palate
Custard creams mingle with sage and bay leaf, bright peppermint creams and a gentle smoke, lemon zest and icing sugar on the finish; chocolate-covered peanuts, honey and ginger bread provide lasting warmth.
Finish
Apple crumble with custard unfolds into Murray mints, lime pickle and a whisper of white pepper, leaving a warm, inviting spice-dusted fruit finish.
