Tomintoul 15 Years Old Tawny Port Cask Finish was distilled in 2008 and matured initially in ex-bourbon American oak casks before being finished in specially selected Tawny Port barriques sourced by Master Distiller Robert Fleming from Portugal. The finished whisky is rich, sweet and fruity, it is bottled at 46% abv and is neither coloured nor chill filtered.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-tawny hues and a warm mahogany glow.
Nose
Inviting aromas of cooked fruits and cinnamon pastries mingle with glace cherries, dark chocolate and clove-spice notes.
Palate
On the palate, baked strawberry and stewed rhubarb mingle with vanilla custard, a creamy base overlaid with sweet nougat, candied almonds and cocoa powder, delivering luscious fruit depth with nutty sweetness.
Finish
Nutty and warming, the finish coats the tongue with coffee cake, ripe brambles, and walnuts, edged by dark chocolate for a lingering, comforting echo.
