Tomintoul 15 Years Old Madeira Cask Finish was distilled in 2008 and matured initially in ex-bourbon American oak casks before being finished in specially selected Madeira wine casks sourced by Master Distiller Robert Fleming from Portugal’s Madeira Islands.
The Madeira wine casks perfectly complement Tomintoul Single Malt imparting rich fruit flavours, which enhance the character and complexity of our whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with copper-bronze highlights and a warm honey glow, deepening to mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Sweet almond flan, baked apricots and vanilla mingle with cedarwood, while dark chocolate and pink peppercorn add a delicate, dusky edge.
Palate
Complex layers of ginger biscuits, sandalwood, muscovado sugar and white chocolate, with hints of dark berry fruits, greengage and baking spices.
Finish
Warming spices and toasted oak tailing off into a vanilla custard, milk chocolate and roast chestnut linger.
