Batch #2 of Tomintoul's 12 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish was distilled in 2010 and matured initially in ex-bourbon American oak casks before being finished in Oloroso Sherry butts from Andalucia, Spain.
Rich and fruity with pronounced aromas of brittle toffee, dried fruits, milk chocolate and baking spices. Sweet and silky on the palate with layers of coffee cake, sultanas and mocha mingled with toasted walnuts and candied cloves. A nutty and warming finish with notes of maple syrup, coffee grounds and warm pecan pie.
