Tasting Notes

Nose

Ripe orchard fruit—pear and apple—opens with orange zest and honey, carried by Cognac- and brandy-cask influence. Velvet spice, fig and apricot notes unfold with vanilla, toffee and polished oak, a faint cocoa lift. An elegant, fragrant bouquet that hints at warm, creamy depth.

Palate

Silky and lush, it opens with apricot, fig, and baked apple, threaded with vanilla, toffee, and Cognac-brandy sweetness. Spices—cinnamon, nutmeg, a whisper of clove—rise over velvety oak, leaving a refined citrus glow and a long, dark-chocolate finish.

Finish

An opulent, long finish shaped by cognac and brandy cask influence: dried apricot and fig unfold into vanilla and citrus zest, then drift into toasted oak and a whisper of spice. Satin tannins and a warm glow linger, inviting the next thoughtful sip.

The modern company was founded by Jack and Stephen Teeling in 2012, and the Teeling Whiskey Distillery opened in 2015 at Newmarket as the first new distillery in Dublin for more than 125 years.
