Bushmills Single Malt Irish Whiskey (Old Bottling) 16 Year Old
In stock
Embodying all the traditions of distilling at the Old Bushmills Distillery since 1608, this Bushmills 16 year-old "Three wood" Single Malt is the result of many generations of distilling expertise.
Every drop of Bushmills Malt is carefully distilled three times for exceptional purity and smoothness, using the pure water from St Columb's Rill, which flows over ancient basalt rock to the Old Bushmills Distillery. The unpeated malt barley allows the pure taste of Malt to shine through.
This distinctive Single Malt from Ireland is matured in three types of oak wood casks. Firstly, it is aged in American bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks for a minimum of 16 years and upwards. It is then "finished" for many months in old Port wine Pipes, conferring a hint of ruby redness and a long sweet finish. This result is a complex and intriguing whiskey with much to delight the discerning palate. A true masterpiece.
