Teeling Revival Volume I - Rum Barrels Single Malt Irish Whiskey 15 Year Old · 1999 Vintage
In stock
Very rare to find a pure Rum cask aged whisky but at Teelings nothing suprises you as they are at the forefront of the exciting and experimental new batch of distilleries coming out of Ireland. Most of the range from Teelings use a variety of wine casks such as Sauternes and red wine to finish the whiskies but this is a s close as whisky gets to being a rum. Liquid rum and raisin fudge this with a real soft and creamy mouthfeel.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a burnished copper glow and a touch of mahogany.
Nose
Aromas of rum-soaked raisins, custard-vanilla and creamy toffee unfold on the nose. Brown sugar and spiced oak weave through lush tropical fruit, yielding a dessert-rich, elegant aroma.
Palate
Silky, creamy on the palate with a pronounced rum character. Liquid raisin fudge sweetness coats the tongue, framed by caramel hints, vanilla and a whisper of oak. Luxuriously soft, with a mellow, rounded finish that lingers.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with rum-soaked sweetness lingering—raisin fudge, vanilla and caramel melt into creamy oak, leaving a satin warmth and gentle spice that slowly fades.
