In its 4th and final year, the 2014 Holiday Select bottle was once again released at the Distillery in December with a signing taking place on December 6th. While this bottle came in a nice sturdy black box like all of the others before it, this year’s box had an opening in the front which displayed the bottle proudly.
Once again, each bottle this year was filled with whiskey from the barrels used to make the annual Christmas Barrel Tree. This year’s bottle was filled with 96 proof whiskey, a slight drop from the 98 proof available in 2013.

Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate of caramel and vanilla balanced by toasted oak. Subtle spice hints from the Christmas Barrel Tree influence weave through the middle, while the 96-proof warmth carries to a long, refined finish with lingering vanilla sweetness and a final touch of oak.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with warm caramel and vanilla slowly tapering to toasted oak, a delicate kiss of spice—cinnamon and clove—lingering softly, a festive echo of the Christmas Barrel Tree.
