Rare circa early 1980's bottling of Talisker with the 'TD' logo of Scottish Malt Distillers' subsidiary Dailuaine-Talisker Distillers Ltd on the front label.
Talisker bottled at 12 years old at 43% before they switched to their now-habitual 45.8% under Diageo.
(TAL-iss-ker) Talisker was founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill in Carbost on the shores of Loch Harport, and it remains the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye. Its history includes a major stillhouse fire in 1960, after which the distillery was rebuilt with exact replicas of the original stills to preserve its character, and it now forms part of Diageo’s malt whisky portfolio.
