Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, warm amber with coppery-gold edges and a honeyed glow.
Nose
Briny sea spray and coastal peat rise in a smoky, maritime perfume. Melted tar, iodine and a whisper of vanilla sweetness thread through, finished by a peppery warmth that nods to Talisker’s island character.
Palate
Bold yet refined, the palate unfolds with coastal peat and sea-salt briskness, like a sea breeze over ash and wood. Talisker’s peppery warmth mingles with smoky brine, mineral complexity, and a touch of waxy vanilla oak. Dried citrus and toffee mingle mid-palate, leading to a lightly sweet, lingering charcoal smoke and a long peppery finish.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with sea-salt and peat smoke lingering, a peppery warmth that holds as a touch of sweetness fades. It slowly dries to an ash-tinged coastal echo.
