Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a warm coppery glow, edged in mahogany.
Nose
Maritime brine and smoky peat rise at the fore, layered with sherried dark fruit—fig and raisin with a touch of orange zest. Beneath, vanilla, toffee and toasted oak add warmth, while a bold cask-strength spice and cocoa linger, leaving a refined maritime finish.
Palate
Powerful and coastal, the palate fuses coastal smoke with rich Sherry sweetness and bourbon vanilla. Thick, syrupy texture carries dried fruit, dark chocolate, and roasted spice, while sea salt and cracked pepper keep it brisk. A long, warming finish of smoky peat, oak spice, and nautical tang lingers.
Finish
Long, coastal finish with Talisker’s peat and sea-salt clinging to the palate. Sherried sweetness threads through dark fig and cocoa, while spice and oak deepen the warmth. A final wave of black pepper and smoke lingers, slowly fading to a warm, maritime ember.
