Well balanced mix of classic Springbank flavours and Port wood influence that could have overwhelmed the distillery character after 12 years in Port pipes but doesn't.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Salty, earthy red berries reveal themselves slowly, cranberry taking the lead after a moment’s hush. The Port influence is subtle at first, with wisps of fruity liquorice and briney black grape rounding out the aroma, hinting at maritime sweetness beneath the surface.
Palate
Pink peppercorns and crunchy red berries with hints of the salty, brine and earthy smoke that Springbank is famous for emerging on a full bodied palate.A malty brown bread cured smoked ham and cranberry sauce sandwich of a Springbank.
Finish
Homemade redcurrant and rosemary jelly, salted cured meat (savoury notes) and earthy pink grapefruit, black grape skin tannin and late peppery spice.
