Only 3700 bottles released and as always bottled at natural colour and non-chill filtered.
Lightly peated 12-15ppm and the 21 year old is widely regarded as being one of the worlds truly great single malts and a must buy every year for Springbank fans.
An elegant and ever so well poised and balanced Springbank, no denying the Rum cask element has added some extra sweet and spicy fruit to this ever so reliably excellent annual release. The wow factor is in its subtlety, everything in the right place!

Tasting Notes
Nose
A luxurious, layered nose of nougat and coffee fondant, with toasted coconut, milky fudge and banana. Roasted pineapple, creme brulee tops, a subtle coastal salt, singed barley smoke, sappy vanilla oak and earthy-boggy undertones.
Palate
Elegant delivery with the Rum cask influence to the fore..pineapple chunks, rum and raisin fudge, caramelised demorera sugar, banana chips, toasted coconut, salted cashews, charred chocolate, lime and soft smoke mingling with the classic Springbank earthy/brine notes but done ever so subtly here.
Finish
Salted vanilla fudge, banana chips, rum soaked raisins, toasted coffee grinds, milky ginger latte.
