Talisker Expedition Oak Series - Forests Of The Deep Single Malt Scotch Whisky 44 Year Old
Out of stock
The Talisker Expedition Oak Series is a new adventure entirely: A Whisky shaped by nature. The series was born to celebrate wild whisky-making with a collection of rare single malt scotches that have been shaped by the natural elements. Finished in casks that include staves stressed by a wilderness journey to reveal a truly rare and unique Whisky, accentuated by its exposure.
In this second adventure, Talisker have partnered with Parley to “Rewild Our Seas” with a limited release of 44 year old rare Whisky, finished in casks charred by flames fuelled by a mixture of worn oak from their oceanic adventure and sustainably harvested kelp.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep forest-amber with copper-bronze highlights; a warm mahogany-gold glow.
Nose
Sea-salted peat and briny smoke mingle with kelp and wind-touched air. Charred, worn oak entwines with coastal minerals—iodine, cracked pepper, and citrus zest—while whispers of dried fruit and toffee glow softly, signaling a dramatic, nature-forged maturation.
Palate
Coastal smoke unfurls over a full, velvety palate, with briny peat, sea-salt and iodine riding ash-charred oak. Subtle kelp adds marine sweetness as layers of dried fruit, dark chocolate and spice emerge. The finish is long and warming, leaving a refined maritime memory and a lingering, smoky glow.
Finish
Long maritime finish of sea-salt and kelp brine, woven with ember-charred oak and a whisper of peat. The warmth of spice and subtle sweetness lingers, fading into mineral coastal air and a final smoky echo.
