Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany richness and copper-gold highlights, edged in ruby-tinted, sherry-kissed depth.
Nose
Opulent peat smoke rises beside a lush sherry veil, with dark dried fruits—fig and raisin—and orange zest, cocoa and toffee. Subtle salted caramel, leather and a maritime mineral note weave through, delivering a refined, candy-dark perfume that hints at centuries of oak and disciplined power.
Palate
Opulent and warm, this 28-year Bowmore coats the palate with a velvety, full-bodied texture. Ex-sherry cask delivers dark fruit such as prune, fig and raisin, with cocoa, caramel and a hint of orange. Peat smoke and maritime salt add lift, while leather and dark chocolate linger in a long, refined finish.
Finish
Long, opulent finish of sherry-soaked fruit and dark chocolate, with fig and raisin mingling with spices and a touch of oak. Peat remains as a gentle, smoky undercurrent, while a coastal warmth lingers, resinous and refined, leaving a seasoned, luxurious farewell.
