Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with coppery highlights and a whisper of mahogany, radiant and warm with sherry-driven depth.
Nose
An opulent maritime peat aroma, carried on a refined sherry-tinged sweetness. Dried fig, prune and orange zest unfold beside dark chocolate, vanilla and caramel, while sea salt, iodine and a whisper of smoke hint at Bowmore’s DNA, finishing in a poised, time-honored elegance.
Palate
Silky, impeccably balanced palate where Bowmore peat threads through sherry-soaked fruit—raisin, fig and dried cherry—into dark chocolate and espresso. Vanilla and toasted oak from the bourbon cask lend warmth, while a coastal mineral undercurrent and subtle spice carry to a long, refined finish.
Finish
An exceptionally long, polished finish where Bowmore’s maritime peat lingers with refined sherry sweetness. Dried fig, dark chocolate, and toasted almond meld with salty sea air and warm oak spice, while a whisper of smoke persists. The velvet coherence of cask interplay yields an elegant, lingering finale that remains balanced and beautifully composed.
