Long, refined finish of gentle bonfire smoke, peat and heather lingering with vanilla, honey and toasted nuts. A final citrus zest fades into herbal greens, leaving a warm, comforting ember on the palate.

Stauning was founded in 2005 on Denmark’s west coast by nine friends from outside the drinks industry, who began with two small pot stills in an old butcher’s shop in the village of Stauning. A major step followed in 2018, when the distillery opened its purpose-built new site, reflecting how far the project had grown from its early experimental beginnings.
