Production remains central to Stauning’s identity. The distillery uses local Danish rye and barley, floor malts its grain in-house, and distils in 24 small direct-fired copper pot stills rather than moving to a more industrial setup. The range is built around both single malt and rye whisky, with a clear focus on grain-to-glass production and a style shaped by Denmark’s west coast setting rather than by Scotch imitation alone.
