Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2020 is the first 'Special Release'; the first of Spirit of Yorkshire's annual Yorkshire Day releases, and their rarest whisky so far, with only 1500 bottles available.
Whisky Director Joe spent months sampling casks in the warehouse to find the ideal combination for this release: chocolatey and fruity PX (Pedro Ximenez) sherry casks married together with bourbon casks full of toffee, honey and vanilla notes with the marriage taking place in STR casks for a final 'flourish' then bottled at 55%.

Colour
Deep amber with coppery, sunlit edges and a honey-gold core.
Nose
Opulent, dessert-like, the nose is dominated by dark chocolate, ripe plums and vanilla, weaving a rich, inviting bouquet.
Palate
Red fruits lead the palate, mingling with dark chocolate, toffee and honey. A full-bodied, velvety sweetness coats the mouth, finishing with a warm, lingering resonance.
Finish
A pleasant, full-bodied finish that lingers with a subtle touch of spice at the end.
