Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany hues and a warm, sunlit glow.
Nose
Coastal peat and sea-salt brine rise first, with medicinal iodine and a whisper of ash. Beneath, rich sherry fruit unfolds: dried fig, prune, and raisin, brightened by orange zest, dark chocolate, and a hint of leather and toasted toffee.
Palate
Silky, oily mouthfeel carries a bold peat and maritime brightness, tempered by sherry-soaked fruit: fig, raisin, dark chocolate. Notes of toasted malt, vanilla, and orange peel appear, while a saline, peppery backbone lingers into a long, smoky finish.
Finish
Long maritime finish of peat and sea spray, softened by sherry sweetness. Dark fig and raisin unfold with cocoa and coffee, while tobacco and leather add depth. A delicate mineral waxiness lingers, with peppery spice threading through the tail, finally fading to a refined, warming glow on the palate.
