Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a touch of mahogany.
Nose
Peat smoke entwines with maritime iodine and a saline breeze, resting over warm malt. Layered fruit notes emerge—prune, fig, and dark cherry—lifted by sherry sweetness. Cocoa and espresso add depth, while hints of leather and tobacco lend vintage elegance. A savory, smoky nose that hints at ash and sea-kissed oak, slowly unfolding with a long, maritime finish.
Palate
Velvety, full-bodied palate of peat smoke and sea spray, coaxed by dark fruit, cocoa and treacle. Leather and spice rise against a backdrop of oak, while a maritime brightness lingers through the mid-palate. The finish is long and smoky, with ash, espresso, and a gentle coastal sweetness that persists.
Finish
Long, maritime finish where peaty smoke and sea salt linger, softly brushing the tongue. Bold sherry sweetness unfurls into dried fruit, cocoa and espresso, leaving a resinous, slightly medicinal warmth that fades to warm spice and elegant oak.
