Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany depth and a warm, reddish-golden edge.
Nose
Bold maritime peat smoke intertwines with lush sherry sweetness, releasing dark fruits—prune, fig and cherry—laced with toffee and treacle. Subtle cocoa and leather emerge, edged by sea-salt and iodine, weaving a refined, lingering aroma through warm, integrated oak.
Palate
Opulent and powerful, the palate pours forth peat smoke, brine and sherry-tinged fruit. Dark treacle, dried fig and espresso mingle with coastal salt and resinous oak. At 56% ABV the texture coats the mouth with warm, velvety heft, balancing charcoal-smoke with cocoa and a hint of burnt orange sweetness. A long finish of sea spray, leather and refined sweetness lingers.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with steadfast peat smoke beneath a whisper of sherry sweetness. Dark fruit, cocoa, and orange zest linger, fading into warm spice, leather, and a subtle saline bite that invites another sip.
