Scapa Chivas Brothers Cask Strength Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky 15 Year Old · 1993 Vintage
In stock
A limited run, cask strength bottled as a 15 year old back in 2009. This was a range of whiskies that were only available at the distillery visitors centre, so were never avaialable to the wider public.
A great adition to any serious collection and something a little diffferent in the range too.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a warm coppery glow and honeyed undertones.
Nose
Rich, sherried aroma with dark fruits (fig, plum, raisin), layered with vanilla, toffee and a touch of oak. Spices echo beneath, with cacao and a hint of leather. A restrained coastal breeze of salt and seaweed threads through the sweetness, lending maritime ballast to the cask-strength intensity.
Palate
Powerful, full-bodied palate at cask strength: luscious dried fruit and toffee meld with rich sherry, unfolding fig, raisin and orange zest. Layered spice—ginger and clove—found on a caramel-tinged oak backbone. A hint of sea salt adds a maritime lift, and the long finish carries warm alcohol, peppery warmth and lingering fruit sweetness.
Finish
Long, grand finish with sherried sweetness and a warm, peppery fade. Dried fruit, fig and orange peel unfold across the palate, braided with chocolate and toasted nut nuances, slowly giving way to oak and spice as the alcohol lingers.
