Tasting Notes

Nose

Rich vanilla aromas mingle with coconut and dried banana, a creamy, tropical warmth that hints at the bourbon-soaked oak.

Palate

Sweet poached pear forms the core, with bright notes of orange peel and ripe green apple; a balanced, orchard-fruit sweetness that lingers warmly on the palate.

Finish

A medium finish with charred oak and lingering tropical fruit.

(SKAA-pa) Scapa was founded in 1885 on the shores of Scapa Flow near Kirkwall, making it one of Orkney’s long-established distilleries as well as one of the most northerly in Scotland. Scapa is one of only two distilleries on the island of Orkney, offering a stark contrast to its neighbour, Highland Park. Unlike the peated style of Highland Park, Scapa produces an unpeated whisky matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a lighter, creamier, and fruitier profile.
