A 27 year old Glencadam, one of the less heralded Highland distilleries but well worth a try. Matured in a refill Bourbon barrell and bottled at cask strength. his had a very small out turn of just 124 bottles.

Colour
Radiant golden amber with honeyed sheen and faint coppery glints.
Nose
Like a summer's picnic, this Glencadam opens with creamy vanilla and peach, complemented by apple and pear fruit and a hint of marzipan, while floral undertones of gorse flower, honeysuckle, and violet mingle softly.
Palate
Silky, creamy sweetness on the palate, butter candy richness giving way to warming aniseed. Bright mid-palate unfolds with passion fruit and lychee, chased by grapefruit zest. A mouthwatering balance of sweetness and spice, finishing with a gentle peppery warmth.
Finish
Warm pepper lingers on the palate, giving way to a long, elegant echo of chocolate and oak, leaving a gentle, toasted warmth.
