Tasting Notes

Colour

Natural golden-amber, a luminous, honey-kissed shade that glows with sunlit warmth.

Nose

Creamy mocha and praline weave with nutty oak, peanut brittle and salted fudge, layered with old-fashioned toffee, walnut cake and ginger biscuits. Aromatic clove and nutmeg mingle with sherry-soaked dried fruit, delivering a warm, inviting coastal aroma.

Palate

Opens up like the bottom of a sherry trifle with notes of sugared almonds, sultana, raisin, honey on brown bread, mocha, walnut and coffee cake.

Finish

Silky and creamy, with salted Baileys fudge, ginger, praline, marzipan, winter spices and sherry-soaked fruitcake on a long, rewarding finish.

(TOW-ber-MORE-ee) The Tobermory distillery lies in a tranquil harbour overlooking the seaside town of its namesake. Established in 1798 by John Sinclair (originally under the name Ledaig), it is the only Whisky distillery on the idyllic Hebridean Isle of Mull, and is one of the oldest in all of Scotland.
