Tasting Notes

Colour

Golden amber with luminous honey tones and a subtle copper glow.

Nose

Inviting maritime aromas of sun-warmed oak and sea spray, layered with the four finishes. Sherry delivers dried fig, raisin and cocoa; Port adds berry richness; Rum folds in vanilla and tropical fruit; Islay finish brings a subtle smoke and iodine note. A balanced, intriguing bouquet.

Palate

On the palate, four Tobermory 21-year expressions unfold: sherry-dark fruit, cacao and spice from Roulette; plush red berry and polished sweetness from Slots; tropical vanilla and caramel from Poker; a measured peat kiss and sea-salt lift from BlackJack. A luxurious, balanced mosaic with a long, elegant finish.

Finish

An expansive, multi-finish finale that lingers with a tapestry of influence: sherry-dark fruit and cocoa, velvet port sweetness, warm vanilla and spice from the rum, and a whisper of Islay peat and coastal salt. The finish is long, elegant, and maritime, slowly fading to orange zest and oak.

(TOW-ber-MORE-ee) The Tobermory distillery lies in a tranquil harbour overlooking the seaside town of its namesake. Established in 1798 by John Sinclair (originally under the name Ledaig), it is the only Whisky distillery on the idyllic Hebridean Isle of Mull, and is one of the oldest in all of Scotland.
