A distillery-exclusive release for Feis Ile 2017 from Bunnahabhain, this 20 year old was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2017 at 52.2% ABV. Matured in American oak and limited to 528 bottles, it was produced as a festival-only edition.

Drawn from Bunnahabhain’s typically unpeated, coastal style, the American oak maturation is expected to emphasise clarity and balance rather than heavy sweetness or smoke. You can anticipate a clean maritime character with gentle salinity, soft malt sweetness and restrained oak influence.

Bunnahabhain
(BUNNA-hah-ven) Built in 1881, Bunnahabhain is situated on the north east coast of Islay, overlooking the Sound of Islay near Caol Ila. Bunnahabhain's initial aim was to produce Whisky for blending only. While it was used across the industry, it performed a central role in three famous blends: Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark and Black Bottle. Following a short period of closure in the early 1980s, Bunnahabhain re-emerged as a Single Malt.
