Port Ellen’s nose unfolds as dense peat smoke, edged with sea spray and iodine—a maritime backbone resting on time-dark oak. Sherry-rich fruit notes emerge: fig, raisin, prune, intertwined with dark chocolate and toffee. Subtle leather, toasted almond and a whisper of spice lend depth, hinting at a refined, lingering finish.

Palate

Silky yet muscular, it unfurls coastal peat and iodine with sea-salt bite. Rich with dried cherries and cocoa, it glides toward leather, espresso notes and spice—black pepper and clove. The finish is long and warming, peat and mineral echoing with a waxy, maritime grip.

Finish

Long, contemplative finish of maritime peat and warm sherry sweetness. Smoke lingers with dark cocoa, dried fig and leather, softly edged by orange zest and spice. A polished oak kiss threads through, leaving a smoky, resinous afterglow that gradually fades into the memory of Islay salt.
