Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany depth.
Nose
Charred peat and campfire smoke rise from the glass, braided with iodine and sea-salt brine. Sherry sweetness threads through the smoke, revealing dried fig, treacle and cocoa. Leather, ash and medicinal notes lend a coastal, old-world depth, with a lingering ember of spice.
Palate
Full-bodied and oily, the palate carries intense peat smoke with coastal iodine and sea-salt brine. Sherry-tinged fruit—prune, fig, raisin—sits beside dark chocolate, leather and toasted spice. Velvet oak adds vanilla and cedar, while peppery warmth lingers. A long, refined finish of smoke, sweetness and maturity.
Finish
Long and languid, the finish pours a plume of coastal peat and sea-salt, a briny edge that gradually softens into dark chocolate, dried fig and warm spice. Sherry-cask sweetness lingers with velvety richness, while subtle oak and medicinal peat drift away in a refined, lingering smoke.
