Nose
Powerful, fruit-forward aroma of ripe orchard fruit and citrus, lifted by a subtle sulphur note that marks Craigellachie’s robust Speyside character. Oak maturation brings vanilla, spice and toasted wood, adding depth and a touch of resinous complexity to the high-strength single-cask perfume.
Palate
Full-bodied and weighty, this single-cask Craigellachie coats the palate with an oily mouthfeel. Apple and pear fruit drive the mid-palate, framed by citrus zest, vanilla and toffee. A subtle sulphur edge adds intrigue, while the oak lends structure and spice. At 57.5% ABV the finish is long, warm and peppery, with lingering fruit and toasted wood.
