Triple Wood is matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon caks, quarter casks, and Oloroso Sherry casks. The result is soft, rounded, and complex with rich, sweet, Sherry notes, vanilla, citrus, and masses of phenolic peat smoke.
There is some sweeter and creamier notes to the medicinal style that this distillery is famous for here and more for the fans of the Quarter Cask edition than the 10 year old.

Colour
Sherry-tinted deep amber with copper-gold highlights and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Sooty mango and passion fruit mingle with barbecue embers and smoked pineapple, an oily toffee sweetness and smoked treacle. Toasted walnuts add savory depth, while the peat comes through softer, creamier than iodine, yielding a medicinal, coastal sweetness that invites second inhalations.
Palate
Rich and oily on the palate, with smoked fruitcake and sooty, ashy tropical fruit. Aromatic spices weave through, with touches of chilli chocolate, finishing on earthy forest floor notes.
Finish
Dark treacle lingers with charred BBQ wood, figs and dates steeped in sherry, and antique oak. Earthy chocolate and a subtle chili warmth mingle with restrained medicinal notes for an elegant, long finish.
