This has been matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks for a quarter of a century, before being bottled at cask strength. Waves of rich peat smoke mingle with warm spices, dried fruits and oak spice throughout the palate.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-gold with rich mahogany undertones, an amber that glows bronze in the light, hinting at the sherry-matured depth within.
Nose
Sweet vanilla and oak spice mingle with wisps of smoke and a touch of TCP; restrained yet inviting, a hint of smoked bacon folds into dried fruit.
Palate
Very creamy and rich, with a full, mouth-coating texture. Peppery and spicy, with iodine and saline notes underscored by a deep smokiness. A touch of green apple adds brightness to the long, evolving palate.
Finish
Very long and layered, with waves of rich smoke rolling into a peppery, lingering finish.
