Bold peat and sea-salted smoke rise from the glass, edged with iodine and tar. Bourbon-cask vanilla and caramel twine with toasted oak, while citrus zest and a whisper of spice weave through the warmth. A briny coastal clarity anchors a robust, awakening nose that promises a powerful palate.
Palate
Powerfully peated on the palate, Kilkerran delivers a bold plume of smoky, medicinal peat paired with coastal brine and ash. Bourbon-cask influence surfaces as vanilla, toffee and warm oak, complemented by citrus zest and baking spices. The 57.9% ABV threads through every sip, yielding a cheekwarming, resinous finish of pepper, smoke and a persistent maritime salt.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with maritime brine and iodine, gradually softening to vanilla and toffee from the bourbon cask. A hint of citrus zest and peppery spice lingers, ending in a warm, resinous oak echo.
