In celebration of the spirit of Mardi Gras and the pride of Louisiana, this expression of Kentucky Owl Straight Rye Whiskey has been gently aged for 11 years before sleeping a further year in a selection of rare Bayou Rum XO casks to create and mature into a unique Rye Whiskey of outstanding quality and flavour.

Initial mouth feel is a robust, flavorful straight rye whiskey. In addition to the Rye, there is an immediate sensation of sweet butter combined with allspice. The sweetness of the Bayou Rum XO finish mingles across the tongue with the rye and spices, for a fresh unique flavour. Very pleasant, with a robust but soft mouth feel. Finish is smooth, with the sweetness of butter and allspice giving way to a long and pleasant nutmeg sensation in the throat.
