Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Smoked Cherry Cask Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
In stock
An innovative release for the 12th in the Master's Selection Series. Firstly, this whisky uses a high proportion of malted barley (around 30%, significantly more than in most Bourbons) and secondly the barley has been cherry wood smoked. These factors give a whisky that has lots of spice, nuttiness and burnt sugar aromas upfront that lead to a rich dessert like palate, think toffee apple and cherry pie by a bonfire in November! Unsurprisingly this has a cracking finish combining smoked nuts, cherry fruit drops and toffee fudge. A real holiday whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with burnished copper highlights and a mahogany-tinged glow, a warm ember-bronze hue that hints at smoke and sweetness.

Dessert-like, malt-forward sweetness opens with warm spice and cherry-wood smoke. Nutty depth and burnt sugar mingle with toffee-apple and cherry-pie echoes, evolving into a long finish of smoked nuts, cherry drops and toffee fudge.
