Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Classic Malt Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
In stock
Classic Malt is part of the "Double Malt Selection", which was the eighth expression in the Woodford Master’s Collection series.
Unusually two bottlings were released, Classic Malt and Reserve Straight Malt Whiskey. Both expressions were produced exclusively from malted barley and then triple distilled through traditional, copper-pot stills.
The Classic Malt was aged for nine years in casks that were formerly used to mature bourbon, ex bourbon barrels.
These types of casks are usually used to mature Scotch, and contribute notes of buttered bread, strawberries and vanilla to the whisky. In addition, these casks give the whiskey a long, malty finish.
