Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense amber-gold with coppery highlights and a whisper of mahogany, a rich, sun-kissed hue that speaks of long cask maturation.
Nose
Powerful, perfume-rich nose: lacquered oak and toasted spice frame a core of ripe fruit—pear, mango, and dried fig—kissed by vanilla and caramel. Hints of coffee bean, dark chocolate, and a wisp of smoke and incense drift through, with a subtle leather undertone. Even at cask strength, the aroma remains finely balanced, radiant, and impeccably polished.
Palate
Powerful, viscous and cask-strength on the palate. Lacquered smoke supports a core of tropical fruit, dried plum and fig, with espresso and dark chocolate. Bold spices—black pepper, clove, cinnamon—pulse through the mid-palate, while oak resin and vanilla linger. The finish is long and warm, a smoky drift of citrus zest and tobacco.
Finish
Long, warming finish that lingers with peppery spice and cask-strength intensity. Vanilla and dark chocolate unfold into toasted oak, while a delicate mineral brightness threads through. A whisper of lacquered wood and tobacco lingers, tapering into a refined, resinous warmth that softly coats the palate and fades with a subtle, smoky echo.
