Citrus notes—lemon, lime and a hint of sour orange—emerge with a gummi jelly glow, paving the way for a spice garden of cinnamon, allspice, clove, nutmeg and candied ginger.

Palate

Thick, dark and sweet from the first sip, with salted caramel and liquorice sticks, demerara-sugar-dusted apples and winter-berry compote. The demerara provides a syrupy sweetness that underpins savoury notes of mushroom, forest floor and barrel char.

Finish

Rancio lingers with savory depth, gradually softening to reveal dark sugars and caramel, leaving a warm, resinous echo of spice and char.
