Colour

Deep amber with a warm mahogany core and coppery glints, reminiscent of sunlit caramel.

Nose

Delicate apple sweetness unfolds with a whisper of sea salt, a coastal, refined aroma that hints at Islay brine while remaining elegant.

Palate

On the palate it opens with a sweet fruitiness—apple-laden and orchard-fresh—bearing gentle notes of pecan and a whisper of ocean salt. Rich yet poised, the warmth of cask strength lingers with a creamy, elegant finish.

Finish

Elegant, light and smooth, the finish carries a warm glow that lingers long after the last sip, with a gentle hint of sea salt, apple sweetness and a touch of nutty warmth.

Bruichladdich
(brook-LADDIE) Bruichladdich distillery is the home of four different malts: the unpeated Bruichladdich, the heavily peated Port Charlotte, the even more peated (and rarely seen) Lochindaal and the super heavily peated Octomore. The distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers and at the time it was viewed as a very modern establishment.  It is situated in The Rhinns, in the west of the island, overlooking Loch Indaal. It ran under a succession of different owners including Whyte and Mackay and Murray McDavid before being purchased by Remy Cointreau in 2012.
