Tasting Notes
Colour
Near-opaque midnight ebony with subtle burnished copper edges and warm amber highlights; a wine-dark core that glows with mahogany when light catches it.
Nose
An enigmatic bouquet of sherry-sweet richness: dark chocolate, espresso, fig and raisin, touched by vanilla and spice. Oak lends gravity as a whisper of peat smoke and sea salt threads through the depth, with subtle leather and tobacco notes—an elegant, mysterious Islay perfume from Bruichladdich's Black Art.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied on the palate, with dark chocolate and fig treacle, raisin and dried cherry weaving through velvety sherry sweetness. Espresso and cocoa nib notes mingle with warm spice—nutmeg, clove—beside a whisper of refined smoke. Rich oak and leather lend structure, finishing long and lush with lingering dark fruit and toasted cacao.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish; dark chocolate and dried fig unfold with sherried sweetness, while whispering peat and coastal iodine drift in. Toasted spice and espresso notes linger on the palate, wrapping the senses in velvet warmth before fading to a refined, resinous end.
