Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep antique amber with copper highlights and a mahogany edge, a warm, sunset-hued glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry aromatics flood the nose: dark plum, fig and raisin mingle with cocoa and toffee, while orange zest lifts the bouquet. Cinnamon and clove drift through toasted oak and a resinous, velvety backdrop, with a faint tobacco nuance completing the mature, luxurious profile.
Palate
Opulent and powerful, this Glenlochy coats the palate with sherried richness: dried plum, fig and orange zest weave into dark chocolate and toasted oak. A full, creamy texture carries cinnamon and clove spice, with coffee and tobacco whispers. The 58.8% ABV yields a bold, warming finish, long and lush with red fruit, cocoa and oak.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish: a warming, sherry-kissed sweetness clings to dark fruit, cocoa, and toasted oak. Spiced satin tannins braid through the mid-palate, winding into a velvety finale of coffee and oak that slowly recedes.
