Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent sherry perfume floods the bouquet: dark plum and fig, raisin and candied orange peel, all wrapped in polished oak. Rich cocoa, coffee bean, and toffee mingle with leather and a touch of tobacco, while cinnamon and clove provide poised spice. A resinous vanilla ribbon threads through, hinting at cask-strength intensity and luxurious age-worn warmth.
Palate
Full-bodied and boldly concentrated, this high-ABV Glenlochy opens with sherry-kissed depth. Resinous oak envelopes dark fruit—plum, fig and raisin—while cacao, espresso, and toasted spice mingle. The 62% warmth remains harmonious on the palate, delivering a long, refined finish with leather, nutmeg and cocoa.
Finish
Long, warming finish that slowly reveals fig and plum, enriched by dark chocolate and spices. Sherry sweetness lingers with toasted oak, while a final whisper of leather and coffee carries through the palate, its presence lasting well beyond the last drop.
