Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge, a warm, sunset glow that speaks of sherry influence.
Nose
Opulent sherry-forward aroma with dark plum and fig, raisin and orange peel glistening in caramelised sweetness. Hints of vanilla, honey and plush toffee weave through toasted almond and oak spice. A waxy, malty depth underlines refined fruit notes, while cocoa and spice linger as the high-ABV warmth breathes through the bouquet.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this Glen Elgin sherry-cask fills the palate with dried fruit richness—prune, raisin and fig—lifted by orange zest, toasted almond and dark chocolate. Spices of clove and nutmeg mingle with vanilla and oak for a velvety, warming texture. The finish is long and luxurious, with cocoa, spice and a lingering resinous warmth.
Finish
An enduring, warming finish that slowly releases ripe dried fruit—fig and raisin—together with dark chocolate, toffee and sherry sweetness. Oak and spice linger, with cinnamon and clove, as a resinous hint of leather and vanilla fades to a long, polished warmth.
