Glen Elgin Thompson Bros Single Malt Scotch Whisky 19 Year Old · 2007 Vintage
In stock
This 2007 Glen Elgin was bottled by Thompson Bros at 19 years old from two refill hogsheads, with an outturn of 563 bottles. Refill wood is a particularly good fit for Glen Elgin, allowing the distillery’s fruit-led Speyside character to remain bright and focused while the long maturation adds extra polish and detail.
The result is a mature, elegant whisky with plenty of freshness still intact. Green orchard fruit, citrus and chalky minerality lead the way, while the palate adds softer stone fruit, almonds, brioche and a gently drying oak note that gives the whisky structure without taking away from its natural lift.
