Introducing Decadent Drams’ ‘Megafauna & Megaflora’ range, a home to celebrate everything great and good, and in most cases extinct, about the natural world.
This is a Glen Elgin 2011. It spent most of its life in a refill barrel before being finished in a 1st-fill barrel to give it a wee flashy splash of sweetness and enrich it suitably for added pleasure. It is 15 years old and has been bottled with several degrees of reduction at 53%.
It is a really good whisky that delivers a high-pleasure factor.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Elegant green and yellow fruit combinations with biscuity sweetness, rich malty and barley sugar notes and then hints of shilling ale and cedar.
Palate
Various sweet citrus fruit notes, greengage, apple pie with custard, lemon sorbet, flower honey on freshly baked brown bread and wee hints of fennel and aniseed.
Finish
Medium length, on shortbread, flower nectars and sweet ales.
