Glen Elgin Murray McDavid Benchmark Oloroso Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky 11 Year Old · 2014 Vintage
In stock
In 1898, Glen Elgin was one of the last distilleries built in the 19th century by legendary whisky architect Charles Doig. Once powered by paraffin, Glen Elgin was brought into the modern era during the 1950’s. However, with long fermentation, slow distillation and worm tub condensers, Glen Elgin continues to be inspired by tradition.
"Filled into ex-bourbon hogsheads for its initial 7 years, we further matured this fruity Speysider in Oloroso Sherry casks. During its final four years, the luscious influences from the Spanish fortified wine have evolved the classic Glen Elgin spirit to create this deeply indulgent dram – excellence in the Art of Maturation."
