A single grain Girvan from The Octave series, this 18 year old was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2026 after maturation in an Oloroso sherry octave cask. Bottled at 55.3% ABV, the release was limited to 84 bottles.
Octave casks, much smaller than traditional sherry casks, intensify wood interaction and concentrate flavour. The Oloroso maturation brings rich dried fruit sweetness, nutty depth and warming spice to Girvan’s smooth, creamy grain character, adding depth and structure to the distillery’s naturally light and elegant profile.

Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery sheen and mahogany undertones, a sun-warmed hue echoing sherry-backed richness.
Nose
Sherry-rich aromas of dried fruit—fig, date and raisin—meet toasted almond and walnut. A thread of orange zest and vanilla drifts through a creamy grain, while warming spice and sherry-oak lend depth and a glossy sweetness characteristic of the Octave cask.
Palate
Silky, creamy texture coats the palate, delivering concentrated sherry sweetness—raisin, fig and date—interwoven with toasted almond and walnut. Rich caramel and toffee bind the fruit, while warming spice—cinnamon, clove and nutmeg—lingers, reinforced by a hint of cocoa. A poised, elegant finish with notable depth and a subtle oak backbone.
Finish
Long, opulent finish where dried fruit sweetness and nutty depth linger, lifted by warm spice. The Oloroso influence threads through a creamy grain core, leaving almond and raisin nuances, framed by a gentle oak, and a warming, lingering glow that gradually fades.
