Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery sheen and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Intense sherry-laden nose with dark fruits and spice. Dried figs, raisins, plum and orange peel meld with toffee, cocoa and vanilla. Nutty almond notes mingle with cinnamon and clove, while polished oak and a whisper of espresso frame the full, cask-strength sweetness.
Palate
On the palate it unfurls with decadent ruby fruit and clove-spice; first-fill sherry delivers dark raisin, fig and toffee that coat the tongue. Rich, full-bodied and velvety, it bears orange zest, cocoa and toasted almond, with a robust, warming spine from the cask strength. Spices linger into a drying, oak-forward finish, leaving a long, luxurious impression.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of rich sherry sweetness, with fig and raisin, dark chocolate and toasted almond. A warming cask-strength glow lingers, danced by spice and oak, fading to a velvety, dry finale.
