From independent bottler, Fable, comes Volume 1. The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay. Comprising of five whiskies, or chapters as they are stylised, from all around Scotland with whisky sourced from some of the countries best and most recognisable distilleries.
Fable whisky has a focus on storytelling, shown in its poetic descriptions and striking imagery from Bolivian visual artist Hugo Cuellar.
Chapter 3, Moon, is a 12 year old Dailuaine aged in ex-Bourbon Hogshead's and bottled at 54.8% ABV with only 294 bottles produced.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright golden straw with a warm, honeyed amber glow; light at the rim, deepening to a velvety amber center.
Nose
Sunlit vanilla and creamy custard lead a bright wave of lemon zest, green apple, and delicate almond. Bourbon-driven warmth brings coconut, honeyed oak, and a touch of toffee, while waxy notes and subtle peppery spice lift the bouquet. An inviting, refined nose with the whisky’s bold spine.
Palate
Silky and viscous, the palate reveals vanilla custard, honeyed orchard fruit, and creamy coconut from ex-Bourbon maturation. Pear and apple sweetness mingle with subtle spice and almond, while delicate oak provides structure. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla, toffee, and a hint of citrus zest.
Finish
Long, warming finish of vanilla bean and creamy oak, subtly spiced by clove and white pepper. A lift of citrus zest lingers, slowly fading into a refined, lasting note of oak.
